The deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal on Saturday disclosed that His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, would continue to give community and rural development a high priority across the state. the entire state.

Lawal, who made this statement during the 6th year installation thanksgiving of Olugbon of Orile Igbon & Commissioning of Ultra Modern Palace in Ogbomoso, described Governor Makinde as a dynamic and forward-looking person who is so concerned about the development of the state.

He commended Oba Francis Olusola Alao, the Olu Igbon of Orile Igbon, for choosing individuals of impeccable character to serve as their Chieftains and for the location of the palace, noting that everyone believes that development will gyrate toward the palace’s location as it is central to all surrounding communities.

Monumental Legacy

“We’re assembled here today to commission Orile Igbon’s brand-new palace. We anticipate that because the palace is located in a hub for the surrounding villages, there will be a movement of growth in that direction.

Thirdly, we are here to express our congratulations to the newly-installed chieftains since they are capable leaders who can advance the state. We are therefore appreciative, and I am confident that they would all work together to advance Orile Igbon and the state at large.

A palace of this sort, according to Lawal, is a work in progress, and the newly appointed Chieftains will also need to provide significant contributions to the palace’s development.

He thanked the people of Ogbomoso for their support during the governorship election on March 18 and stated that Governor Makinde would continue to see to the development of Oyo state.

He equally urged everyone to keep up their prayers and support Governor Makinde to deliver on his promises for Omitutun 2.0.

Earlier in his remarks, the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis, thanked everyone for attending the event, stating that the ceremony was divided into three categories, including the commissioning of the newly constructed palace and the celebration of his birthday.

Oba Francis noted that the magnificent edifice, a palace with outstanding aesthetics, was one of his digital visions as a future-focused King to put Orile Igbon on the pedestal it deserved because it housed over 200 villages and close to 100 community leaders.

The monarch thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his steadfast support, referring to him as his bosom friend and dependable ally as well as his executive governor, emphasizing that his outstanding support up to this point cannot be overstated.

He said: “I find it befitting to not only house-warm this new palace but to install several people who have made huge contributions in the society, and Gov. Makinde being the first to be installed, stands tall among them.

“To the glory of God, today, we will be housewarming “the palace, awarding several dignitaries with Chieftaincy titles. We thank the Oyo Deputy Governor who is representing the Governor to perform this rite, “ he submitted.

Among eminent personalities honored by the monarch include Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde, (Aare of Orile Igbo) Wife of former Gov of Oyo state Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi,( Yeye Oba of Orile Igbon) Otunba Seye Famojuro, Balogun Bobajiroro of Orile Igbon, Hon Akinwale Akinwole( Bashorun Amuludun of Igbon and others.

The Chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, as well as Hon. Bisi Ilaka, Baba Saka Balogun, Senator Ayo Adeseun, Hosea Agboola, Hon. Makanjuola Smato, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, Florence Ajimobi, and Barrister Olasukanmi Olalelye, were among the dignitaries present at the ceremony.
