Makinde Fulfils Pledge, Releases ₦200m to Phase 3 Beneficiaries of Circular Road
In a clear demonstration of Governor Seyi Makinde’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure expansion and fair compensation, the Oyo State Government has today disbursed over ₦200 million to 60 beneficiaries of the Circular Road Corridor Phase 3 acquisition.

The disbursement, supervised by the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, was officially confirmed by the Honorable Commissioner, Akin-Funmilayo Williams, as approved by His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE, who reiterated the Governor’s promise of ensuring transparency and fairness in all government dealings.
“Governor Makinde is a man of his words. What we are witnessing today is another testament to his integrity and people-centered governance. He promised that those affected by the Circular Road project would be duly compensated, and today, Phase 3 beneficiaries are smiling home with over ₦200 million,” Williams declared”.

Recall, over One Hundred Million Naira was disbursed to about 50 beneficiaries of the phase 2 batch last week Thursday 14th August, 2025. As promised that phase 3 will be attended to few weeks time and today we are fulfilling the promise made as promise kept.
He further explained that the Circular Road remains one of the largest infrastructural undertakings in Southwest Nigeria, designed to decongest Ibadan, boost economic productivity, and attract massive investments into the state.

Williams assured that subsequent phases of the project will also follow due process, with government maintaining an open-door policy to address concerns of affected citizens.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for fulfilling his word without delay, stressing that the disbursement has restored their confidence in governance.

The Oyo State Government reaffirmed its determination to complete the Circular Road project within stipulated timelines, making it a lasting legacy of Governor Makinde’s administration.
