Elders and stakeholder caucus of the People’s Democratic Party in Ibadan North Local Government, Ward 1 on Monday, declared support for Hon. Olaolu Akindele Amos as the consensus councilorship candidate for the 2024 Oyo local government election.
The position of the stakeholders, party excos was contained in a statement signed by all the leaders of the party, in ward 1, Ibadan North local government of Oyo state
The stakeholders also rejected the move of candidate imposition by just one single personality who wants to become the ward candidate through the backdoor.
The statement read in part, “Consequently, Hon. Olaolu Akindele Amos was chosen among the 3 aspirants as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming local government election. After the nomination process, Olaolu the incumbent councilor representing Ward 1 was nominated.
“We object to anyone or personality aside this democratic and lawful process who will come out to claim been the anointed candidate”.
“We affirm that the nomination of Hon. Olaolu Akindele still subsists and remains unchangeable.”
