Lagelu Local Government Launches Own Paint Products “Lagelu Paints”, A First in Oyo State
In a groundbreaking move, Lagelu Local Government has introduced its own paint products to the market, a pioneering initiative in the state. The launch, which took place at the council secretariat, was attended by dignitaries and stakeholders.
The Lagelu Paints, as it is called, is a brainchild of the council chairman, Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru, who has been instrumental in driving the project. According to Hon. Mudashiru, the initiative is aimed at promoting economic development and creating employment opportunities for the youth in the local government area.
“We are proud to be the first local government in Oyo State to venture into the paint industry,” Hon. Mudashiru said. “Our paints are of high quality and will compete favorably with existing brands in the market.”
The paint products, which include decorative and industrial paints, have been certified by relevant regulatory agencies. The council plans to establish a factory to produce the paints, which will be sold at affordable prices.
The launch of Lagelu Paints has been hailed as a significant achievement by stakeholders, who praised the council chairman’s vision and leadership. The initiative is expected to generate revenue for the local government and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
With this development, Lagelu Local Government has set a precedent for other local governments in Oyo State, showcasing the potential for innovation and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
