Lagelu LG Chairman, Commends Gov. Makinde’s Security Boost
The Executive Chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has on Monday commended the Oyo State Governor Makinde’s sweeping spending on state security.
He made the commendation while receiving a newly procured patrol vehicle donated by the Oyo state government to the Operation Burst command in Lagelu, at the local government secretariat in Iyana-Offa.
The procurement aims to bolster the efforts of the security task force in ensuring the safety of indigenes and residents.
While receiving the vehicle, Chairman Kamorudeen highlighted its importance in enhancing the operational capacity of the Operation Burst command. He explained that the new addition will facilitate quicker response times and improve the overall efficiency of security operations in the local government area.
“This operational vehicle is a vital resource for our security personnel,” Kamorudeen stated. “It will significantly aid our efforts to maintain peace and order in Lagelu.”
The chairman also expressed gratitude to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for prioritizing security in the region. He acknowledged the administration’s commitment to equipping security agencies with the necessary tools to combat crimes effectively.
“Another set of newly procured operational vehicles to Operation Burst commands across 33 local government areas isn’t to be taken light of. I think His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde deserves nothing less than our sincerest commendation for his well proven dedication to making security a top priority. His spendings in the last five years only reflects a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our communities and our people,” Kamorudeen added.
Further in his reaction, the council boss went on to emphasize that the governor’s spending has practically made security a growing state priority. He urged residents to keep at their supports for security agencies by providing information that could assist in maintaining safety, while reaffirming his administration’s resolve to work closely with all security agencies to strengthen local security.
