Lagelu Chairman, Hon. Kamorudeen Empowers 100 Motorcyclists, Reaffirms Party Dominance in Historic PDP Ward 13 Tour

The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government Area in Oyo State, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has empowered no fewer than 100 local motorcyclists as part of efforts to support grassroots transporters and strengthen the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the ward level.

The council chairman made the gesture during a visit to the PDP Ward 13 chapter, where he was warmly received by party members and residents who turned out in large numbers for the ward meeting.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Kamorudeen declared that the PDP remains deeply rooted in Ward 13, citing the impressive membership turnout as clear evidence of the party’s strong support base in the area. He urged party faithful to sustain their commitment to the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde and the PDP in the state.

In a move aimed at bolstering the livelihoods of local operators within the informal transport sector, the chairman announced free-fuel palliative support to 100 indigent motorcyclists. The initiative is seen as a direct response to the economic needs of Okada riders who play a vital role in intra-community mobility in the local government.
Hon. Kamorudeen’s visit and empowerment programme have been described as historic by party stakeholders, highlighting his consistent engagement with ward-level structures and ordinary residents since assuming office.

The meeting also featured the presentation of notebooks to pupils and cash empowerment to teachers in the ward. This segment of the programme was championed by the councilor representing Ward 13 in the legislative arm of the council, Hon. Bashir Dauda. The councilor was commended by the council boss for his commitment to giving back to his community and supporting education and teachers at the ward level.
Party chieftains at the event commended the chairman for his accessibility and dedication to the welfare of the people, reaffirming their loyalty to Governor Makinde’s administration.
