A devastating incident occurred this morning in Ibadan when a stray bullet, allegedly fired by a policeman chasing a suspect, fatally struck a WAEC-bound student on his way to sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination. The incident happened along Gbagi Market Road, where eyewitnesses claim a police officer opened fire at a fleeing vehicle, unintentionally hitting the student who was riding a motorcycle with his father and twin brother.

The victim was rushed to Welfare Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Sources reveal the student was en route to the examination center with his twin brother when the tragedy occurred.
