Just In: PDP Names Demola Omotoso as DG, Falana as Secretary Ahead of Ibadan North Bye-Election

With the countdown to the August 16 bye-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency underway, the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has ramped up its preparations with strategic appointments and a united show of support for its candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON).

In a major move to strengthen its campaign structure, the party has named Hon. Demola Omotoso, Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, as the Director-General of the PDP Campaign Council for the bye-election.

Widely respected for his administrative acumen and steadfast commitment to the PDP, Omotoso is expected to steer the campaign with seasoned leadership and effective coordination.

Also appointed is Hon. Adebowale Falana, Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency, who will serve as the Campaign Secretary and Election Manager. Falana, known for his strong grassroots network and dynamic youth engagement, is poised to mobilize support across the 12 wards of the constituency.

The appointments signal the party’s readiness and strategic focus as it seeks to retain the federal constituency seat. PDP leaders have reiterated their confidence in both Omotoso and Falana, describing them as “tested and trusted” hands capable of delivering victory at the polls.
