The Oyo State House of Assembly has successfully screened and confirmed nine additional commissioner designates for the state. The confirmed nominees are as follows:

Mr. Segun Olayiwola
Hon Wasiu Olatubosun
Prof Abdulwaheed Solid
Mr. Majeed Mogbojunbola
Bar Olasunkanmi Olaleye
Mr. Williams Akinfunmilayo
Prince Dotun Oyelade
Mr. Obafemi Ademola Ojo
Last week, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State submitted a list of commissioner nominees to the State Assembly, seeking their screening and approval.
During the plenary session, presided over by Speaker Mr. Adebo Ogundoyin, the commissioner designates had the opportunity to address the assembly. They discussed their political, career, and educational backgrounds, as well as their proposed plans of action for the state.
In addition, two lawmakers, Mr. Bamidele Adeola and Mr. Gabriel Babajide challenged the nominees to prioritize the interests of the state, particularly at the local government level.
After answering questions posed by the lawmakers, the commissioner designates were respectfully asked to take a bow.
