Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji has emerged as the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adedeji secured the party’s ticket following a decisive endorsement by apex leaders of the constituency during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held earlier today at the Speaker’s Lodge. The gathering brought together prominent political leaders, elders, and stakeholders from both Ido and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas, and was widely described as a defining moment for the party’s leadership direction ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The selection process, conducted through a voting pattern adopted by the leaders, was said to have taken place in a calm, transparent, and democratic atmosphere, with participants openly expressing their preferences on who should fly the party’s flag.

At the end of the exercise, Engr. Adedeji recorded a commanding victory, polling 17 votes to defeat his closest challenger, the incumbent Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, who secured two votes.
Party leaders at the meeting commended the peaceful and transparent nature of the process, describing it as a clear demonstration of unity, maturity, and collective resolve among PDP stakeholders across the constituency.
