Ido LG Boss, Adeojo, Rewards Party Loyalists With Cash
The Executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, over the weekend, rewarded some loyalists within the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in ward four of the Council.
Adeojo, who paid a surprise visit to the Ward, presented the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000) only to the widows and aged as a result of their loyalty to the party.
Speaking on the development, he noted that there was a need to reward the loyalists and appreciate them for their forthrightness and unflinching support for them to have a sense of belonging.
He also stressed that he will soon, reach out to other wards in the Council and rob minds with the leadership on the unity and progress of the party.
“This visit is unusual because I didn’t inform anyone of my coming here today. And my being here is to reward some of those we know as core loyalists of the party.
“I want to let you know that, as the Chairman of the Local government, I appreciate what you have been doing for the party and I want you to continue. Don’t look back. Continue to be forthright as we have a lot of things to benefit in this government.
“I promise, I will not let you down. I will reach out to other wards in the Council too to do the same thing I am doing here because I am running the all-inclusive government.”
While appreciating the chairman’s visit and gift for the aged and widows, the ward four party chairman in the Council, Mr. Abimbola Akande, expressed gratitude towards the gesture of the Chairman.
He explained that the gift will go a long way to boost the morale and commitment of the party members.
