Ido council’s boss inaugurates, assigns portfolios to supervisors, special assistants
The newly appointed supervisory councillors and Special Assistants to Ido local government have been enjoined to see their appointment as a call to serve the entire citizenry in the local government.
This charge was given by the executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo while administering the oath of offices to the supervisory councillors and the Special Assistants in his office.
According to the chairman, he admonished the newly appointees to rise above pettiness and narrow mindedness in discharging their duties remembering that they are appointed to fulfill mission and to serve the people and make good use of their wealth of experiences to support the growth of the local government.
They were enjoyined to always examine issues critically and in accordance with the oath they took.
The council chairman exercise no delay in assigning portfolios to the newly sworn in supervisors and Special Assistants.
Earlier in his words of exhortation, the people Democratic Party chairman in Ido local government, Alhaji Ayuba Akinsola ratified the rational behind the list of the supervisors and Special Assistants as collations of names forwarded from each ward and duly signed by the appropriate authority in all the 10 wards.
He congratulated all the newly appointees and advised them to work and in hand with the chairman for the development of the local government.
In her word of appreciation, Mrs Bukola Omotosho who spoke on behalf of other appointees appreciated the good roles being played by the party executives and promised on behalf of other to support and cooperate with Hon. Sheriff Adeojo led administration to bring development to the door step of the people of the local government government.
