Ib’North II: Accord’s Hon. Olalekan Adeleke Jamiu Confirms INEC Recognition, Vows People-Centred Representation

The Accord Party flag bearer for the forthcoming Ibadan North State Constituency II by-election, Hon. Olalekan Adeleke Jamiu, has expressed gratitude to party members, supporters and constituents following the confirmation of his candidacy on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the confirmation, Hon. Adeleke described the development as a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the election, noting that it reinforces Accord’s commitment to offering credible and purposeful leadership to the people of Ibadan North Constituency II.
He appreciated the leadership of the Accord Party, delegates, stakeholders and supporters for the confidence reposed in him, assuring them that he would justify the trust through issue-based campaigns and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people.

Addressing constituents, the Accord candidate urged residents of Ibadan North Constituency II to remain hopeful and united, stressing that the election presents another opportunity to deepen democratic participation and attract meaningful development to the constituency.
“I sincerely thank everyone who has stood by me throughout this journey. The confirmation of my name on the INEC portal marks the beginning of a renewed commitment to serve our people with integrity, transparency and accountability.

“I call on all constituents, especially our youths, women and community leaders, to join hands with us as we work towards building a constituency where every voice matters and every community benefits from quality representation.
“Our campaign will be driven by ideas, inclusiveness and genuine concern for the welfare of our people. Together, we can achieve sustainable progress and give Ibadan North Constituency II the representation it truly deserves.”
Hon. Adeleke further called on Accord members across the constituency to remain united and mobilise support ahead of the election, expressing confidence that the party would record a resounding victory at the polls.
He reaffirmed his commitment to running a peaceful, issue-based campaign and pledged to prioritise youth empowerment, education, infrastructure development and improved social welfare if elected to represent the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
