Ib’North East Council Chair, Akintayo Praises Oyo First Lady, ANPA Over Free Healthcare To Residents

The executive chairman of Ibadan Northeast local government, Hon Ibrahim Akintayo has commended the Oyo First Lady, Her Excellency, Tamunominini Makinde and Association of Nigerian Physicians in America (ANPA), for setting up a free health mission in his council area.

Akintayo made the commendations during the flag-off of the 3-day free medical outreach held at Alafara

Primary Health Center, in Ibadan Northeast local government.

 

Monumental Legacy

The outreach provides a wide range of medical services, including blood pressure screening, malaria testing, general medical consultations, and the distribution of free medications, generously donated by MedPlus Pharmaceutical Limited.

The medical team comprises approximately 10 Nigerian physicians based in the United States, who volunteered their expertise to support the initiative

 

Akintayo praised the first lady, Mrs Makinde, the Oyo state government, and the Ministry of Health for facilitating such health mission for his people, he extended his appreciation to ANPA and the Managing Director of MedPlus Pharmaceutical Limited, Pharmacist Joke Bakare, for their generosity and commitment to improving the health of Oyo residents.

While commending the Nigerian Physicians in America led by Dr. Clif Eke, for their effort and choosing his local government for their health mission, he said his council is looking forward to deepening similar partnerships in the future.

 

Akintayo thereafter encouraged all beneficiaries of the outreach to follow through with their treatment plans and emphasized the importance of maintaining good health.
