Ibadan Explosion: Ibadan South East Chairman, Alawode Expresses Grief, Sympathizes with Victims
In a heartfelt gesture, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, has expressed deep sympathy towards the Oyo State Government and the victims affected by the tragic explosion that occurred on Tuesday.
The incident, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuries to 77 individuals, prompted Hon. Alawode to convey his condolences to Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and the entire state.
In his condolence message, he described the occurrence as both disheartening and unfortunate.
The council boss specifically extended his sympathies to the immediate families of the victims and the residents of Adeyi Area in Bodija, Ibadan, where the explosion reportedly took place due to the careless actions of illegal miners storing explosive devices in a house.
Expressing deep sadness, Hon. Alawode condemned the unlawful activities of these miners, emphasizing the sorrow and grief they have brought upon numerous families and the state at large.
In his prayers, the Arole Omituntun sought solace for the victims’ families and the people of Oyo State, especially those in Bodija, affected by this calamity.
He fervently wished them peace, comfort, and an abundance of love during this challenging time.
