This act of kindness is not unusual for the executive chairman of the egbeda local government as well as the Chairman of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, as he has a history of improving the education sector, paying waec examination fees for 100 secondary school students across the egbeda local government. This gesture stemmed a desire and commitment to promoting education in the council area. Hon. Sanda’s compassionate gesture aims to support underprivileged students, ensuring they have access to quality education and a brighter future.

In the welcoming address of Egbeda HLGA, Dr. Ayo Alaga, highlighted many impacts of the council boss projects in the development of the council, while urged the outstanding students to be more focused in their academics.

Hon. Johnson Ogundele, member, Oyo State House Assembly representing Orire State Constituency and chairman, House committee on basic education, while eulogizing the council boss, Hon. Sanda Sikiru, for his commitment to education, commended him for investing heavily in education. He described the council boss, Hon. Sanda Sikiru as “God-sent Chairman” and has proven that Investing in education is an investment in the future of our children, our communities, and our nation.

He has been doing things and sponsoring initiatives to reduce out-of-school children and contribute to community development,” Oyo State commissioner for education represented by the Permanent secretary, Mrs Oyeyemi Ojo said.

While congratulating the beneficiaries, Pastor Akin Alamu admonished the beneficiary to make good use of this opportunity by passing their exams in flying colors. “That way,” according to the immediately Tescom Chairman, “Hon. Sanda’s investment in education will yield multiple returns, while urged the beneficiaries to be more focused in their academics than ever”.

Ogunsola; Egbeda LIE representative, Mrs Ilelaboye and Oba Sulaiman Oladepo, the Alajia of Ajia all took turns to heap praises on Hon. Sanda Sikiru for all that he is doing for humanity and development of the egbeda local government. They commended him for investing in education and human capital development, praying all his wishes will all come to fruition.

In the remarks, the parents thanked Hon. Sanda Sikiru for lifting what has become a heavy burden off the shoulders of students and their parents stating that this is a relief for the outstanding students of secondary schools across the egbeda local government.

Hon. Sanda reiterated, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world and if you want to build a nation educate the youths” while stating that he is concerned about the future of the younger generations because they are the future of his constituency, State and nation while also stated some of his numerous achievements in the education sector since his inception office as executive chairman which includes but not limited to sponsoring qualified students for scholarship, provision of compendium for common Entrance Examination for primary six pupils, facilitation of block of classrooms, free school uniforms, bags and more.

In his final speech, He implore the beneficiaries to see education as the pathway to success in life , shun any form of of Exam malpractices rather you should study well to come out in good grades and make EGBEDA local government proud in order to contribute your own quota towards the development of the society.
