Hon. Sanda Oyedele Commissions Amotekun Office in Egbeda, Donates Motorcycle to Boost Security
As part of the unwavering commitment of the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, to combat insecurity across the council area, a new milestone was achieved with the official commissioning of the Oyo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps) office at Ogbere Moradeyo, Ward 11 of the council.

The event witnessed the official opening of the Amotekun office by the Oyo State Amotekun Commander, who was ably represented by Combatant Mogaji Akinro, declaring the facility open for immediate operation.

In his address, Mogaji Akinro expressed deep appreciation to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and to the Chairman of the Association of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State (ALGON), Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, for their continued commitment and dedication to strengthening grassroots security. He assured the local government chairman and the entire Ogbere Moradeyo community of the corps’ total support and readiness to cooperate in maintaining peace and safety.

“The efforts of Hon. Sanda in tackling insecurity in our dear council deserves commendation,” Mogaji Akinro remarked. “His proactive leadership and consistent actions reflect genuine commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all residents.” Mogaji Akinro stated.
Several prominent indigenes of Ogbere Moradeyo also lauded the chairman’s initiative, pledging their support and collaboration with the executive chairman of egbeda local government and Amotekun Corps to ensure the success of their operations within the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Sanda reaffirmed that security is the foundation of peace and progress in any society. He commended the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, whose administration continues to ensure that every citizen can sleep peacefully, confident in the protection offered by the Amotekun Corps.
As part of his proactive measures, Hon. Sanda proudly announced the donation of a brand-new motorcycle to enhance the mobility and operational efficiency of the Amotekun Corps. He noted that the gesture was aimed at improving rapid response to emergencies and reinforcing community safety across Egbeda Local Government.
The Executive Chairman reiterated that security remains a top priority of his administration, emphasizing that the donation symbolizes his steadfast commitment to empowering local security agencies with the necessary tools to safeguard lives and property.
“If you notice any suspicious movement in your environment,” he urged residents, “please report immediately to the Amotekun office. They are here to protect you, they are your friends.”
Dignitaries present at the commissioning included the Deputy Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olasunkanmi Babalola; Vice Chairman, Egbeda LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple; Chief of Staff, Egbeda LGA, Hon. Ladi Siyanbola (KB); HLGA, Alh. Monsurat Alaga; as well as directors, councilors, supervisors, and traditional and religious leaders.
