Hon. Ibrahim Àkintayo Mourns Demise of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, Describes Death as Personal Loss

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-east Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Àkintayo has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, the Osi Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, describing his death as a personal loss.

In a statement, Hon. Àkintayo said he would miss the monarch dearly, particularly his fatherly advice on various occasions. He noted that Oba Gbadamosi’ relationship to the Àkintayo family was deep.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, a man who was like a father to me. His demise is a personal loss, and I will miss his wise counsel and guidance,” Hon. Àkintayo said.

He commiserated with the immediate family of the late monarch, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, and the entire Ibadanland over the irreparable loss.

Monumental Legacy

“Oba Gbadamosi’s death is a great loss to Ibadanland and the entire Yoruba race. He was a respected leader and a champion of our culture and traditions. His legacy will live on in our hearts,” Hon. Àkintayo added.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul and fortitude for his family and Ibadan to bear the loss.
