GSMists Launch Massive Mobilization for DoN Ahead of August 16 Bye-Election
A prominent political support group loyal to Governor Seyi Makinde, known as The GSMists, has officially thrown its weight behind the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), in the buildup to the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election slated for August 16, 2025.

Led by Prince Oluyinka Tella, the GSMists have rolled out an ambitious campaign strategy to ensure a landslide victory for DoN. As part of their efforts, the group has commenced the erection of campaign billboards, widespread distribution of posters and flyers, radio jingles, and other logistics to sensitize the electorate across the constituency.
According to Hon. Yomi Olajide, also known as *Ore Gomina* and the Chief Coordinator of the movement, the GSMists Volunteers 4 DoN initiative is operating at full capacity. He emphasized that their team is reaching out to voters across every nook and cranny of Ibadan North, building grassroots support and consolidating the PDP’s popularity ahead of the polls.

“Our structure is fully active, and our focus is simple—to deliver a clear and resounding victory for Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle. As true disciples of Governor Seyi Makinde’s people-first politics, we are committed to ensuring that Ibadan North gets the quality representation it deserves,” Olajide stated.
The activities of the GSMists mark a significant boost for the DoN campaign, further underlining the PDP’s momentum as the bye-election approaches.
