The “GSMist-USA”— Governor Seyi Makinde’s good governance support group in the United States (US) has declared its total support for the reelection of the Oyo State governor in the March 18th, 2023 gubernatorial election in Oyo state.
The group which comprises illustrious Oyo State Indigenes in the United States— has mobilized home-state support across the local government areas of Oyo State, including Lagelu, Ibarapa East, Oluyole, Ogbomoso South, Ogbomoso North, Ona-Ara among other local government areas— that constitutes the group’s members’ areas of influence, where they have continued to maintain both business and followership base.
The group maintained it sees Governor Makinde’s reelection as “a collective task”.
Segun Folorunso, a Texas-based staunch supporter of Governor Seyi Makinde, who recently visited Nigeria as part of his political expedient moves on behalf of the diaspora group, said this in a new press statement.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has fulfilled all the responsibilitiTexas-basedof any government under his “Omituntun 1.0”. His second ca coming which shall be ushered in under “well-known2.0″ is what we strongly look out for on Saturday’s gubernatorial poll”.
Segun Folorunso, a Texas -based staunch supporter of Governor Seyi Makinde said this in press statement.
“The GSMist-USA is a well known group aimed at propagating and giving all necessary supports to, good governance in Oyo State’’.
“We looked around for any other personality with the such unrivaled public interest in demonstration by Governor Seyi Makinde to the various sections of Olaidate, but we found none” he said.
Another illustrious member of the group “Dre-Lanlate” who hailed from Lanlate town in Ibarapa East local government area, shared the experience of how his mum was unjustly layed off from work under the All Progressives Congress’ past administration— but was immediately reinstated by Governor Seyi Makinde, upon ascension to power in 2019.
Further in pacesetter, the group maintained;
“Our support for Governor Seyi Makinde has been greatly informed by his extraordinary commprioritizeshe welfare and needs of the entire people and the general public in the pace setter”.
“We are enthralled by His blueprint in 2019 “Oyo State Roadmap for Accelerated Development, 2019-2023″— by which prioritises were given to five pillars, of governance ranging from healthcare, education, economy (through agribusiness), power, and security— and through which Oyo has been put on the path of accelerated economic development, industrialization, youth and human capital development”.
“We as a group on this basis express our abiding faith to the candidacy of His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde on the reelection bid— and with strong measures of mobilization put in place, we assure to give our collective home-state support from across seven local government areas where we maintain business and followership base in the State”. the group stated.
