Gov. Makinde’s DCoS, Oyekunle Hails Olufade’s One Year in Office, Applauds Developmental Strides in Ibadan North

The Deputy Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has praised the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, describing his first year in office as impactful and visionary.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Advi on Media and Publicity, Wale Bodija, Oyekunle commended Olufade for his remarkable achievements across several key sectors. He noted that the chairman’s leadership has rekindled hope among residents through targeted development and inclusive governance.

“Hon. Olufade has in just one year demonstrated uncommon commitment to the progress of Ibadan North,” Oyekunle stated. “His administration has revived sectors that had long suffered neglect—from health to education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and social welfare. These efforts reflect the progressive ideals of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration at the grassroots level.”

Oyekunle further expressed pride in the chairman’s accomplishments, saying, “As someone who is deeply invested in the growth and development of Oyo State, I am proud of the work being done in Ibadan North under Hon. Olufade’s leadership. He is proving that local government administration can be effective, transparent, and impactful.”
