Gov. Makinde Returns Refreshed, Promises to Address Fuel Price Hike, Other Issues
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced his return from a four-week vacation, expressing gratitude to Acting Governor, Bayo Lawal, for ensuring the smooth continuation of governance in his absence.
In his monthly newsletter, Governor Makinde thanked those who sent prayers and well wishes during his vacation, stating that he is returning refreshed and ready to tackle pending decisions, including the recent fuel price increase.
He assured the people of Oyo State that any decisions taken would be in their best interests and that of the state’s economy.
Governor Makinde also hinted at upcoming projects in the agribusiness and tourism sectors, scheduled for flagging off and commissioning in October, promising that they would be projects to be proud of.
In addition, he shared his current read, “The Situation Room—The Inside Story of Presidents in Crisis” by George Stephanopoulos, and promised to share his thoughts on the book in the coming weeks.
The Governor ended on a positive note, urging the people to never lose hope.
