The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele has felicitated Muslims on the celebration of Eid el Maolud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement made available by his media aid, He urged muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) and strive for peace, love and harmony in their daily lives.

Hon Sanda also called on people of Egbeda local government, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole to embrace the values of compassion, forgiveness, and tolerance which are essential for building a united and prosperous nation.
According to the chairman, “The celebration of Maolud Nabiyy is a significant occasion for Muslims to come together and celebrate the life and legacy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”.

“As we mark this special day, l urge all Muslims to rededicate themselves to the teachings of the Holy Prophet and strive for excellence in all aspects of life” He reiterated.
Egbeda council boss used the avenue to call for peaceful coexistence among themselves regardless of their religious beliefs or ethnic backgrounds.

“As we celebrate Eid el Maolud, let us remember that we are all children of God and deserving of love, respect and dignity” He pleaded.
He wished all muslims a happy Eid el Maolud Nabiyy celebration and prayer for peace, prosperity and unity in Nigeria.
