Eid -El-Kabir: Ibadan North Council Chairman, Olufade, Felicitates Muslims, Urges Unity And Compassion

As Muslims across the globe mark the 2025 Eid al-Kabir celebration, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful in Ibadan North, Oyo State, Nigeria, and around the world.

In a goodwill message released through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Olufade congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Hajj pilgrimage and called on all adherents to reflect on the deeper meaning of the festival, sacrifice, obedience, and unwavering faith in God.

“Eid el-Kabir is not just a celebration but a powerful reminder of the virtues of faith, sacrifice, and devotion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS),” the chairman said.

He encouraged Muslims to uphold the core values of Islam, including peace, compassion, generosity, and community spirit, especially during this festive period.

Hon. Olufade also called for prayers for the continued peace and progress of Ibadan North and Oyo State at large.

“As we slaughter rams and share with our neighbors, let us not forget the less privileged among us.

 

Let this season inspire acts of kindness, foster unity across religious lines, and rekindle the spirit of collective responsibility,” he added.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, Hon. Olufade pledged to continue prioritizing peace, development, and service delivery across Ibadan North Local Government.

 

He concluded by praying for Almighty Allah’s blessings, guidance, and protection for all residents and Nigerians as a whole.

“May Allah accept our sacrifices, grant us peace, and bless our homes with joy. Eid Mubarak to all,” he said.
