A political group within the People’s Democratic Party in Egbeda Local Government area of Oyo state has advised some politicians not to propagate crises but rather should embrace peace.
The group ‘Renaissance’ made the statement in reaction to a broadcast message described as malicious to the personalities of some party leaders of PDP in Egbeda local government.
Renaissance group said the spreading of
broadcast messages are not only
intending or intended to harm the PDP stakeholders but also will affect the unity of the party and the development of the council.
The group thereafter urged the sponsors of the message to stop all actions that will damage or bring negative views on anyone targeted and should embrace peace, and be open to dialogue for easy settlement of any differences if there are any.
The statement reads;
A Response to Malicious Broadcast Messages Targeting Egbeda Local Government Leaders
We would like to address a recent malicious broadcast message that has been circulating, targeting the character of our revered Leader, Elder Wole Oyelese, Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, in the person of Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, Hon. Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Hon. Akin Funmilayo, Hon Sunkanmi Babalola and other key stakeholders in Egbeda Local Government. The publication in question is not only ridiculous but also appears to lack any substantial basis.
As responsible citizens, we firmly believe in promoting a healthy and positive environment within our community. Disseminating such baseless allegations can be harmful and counterproductive. We advise the author of this publication to retract their statements, and we urge those who may have benefited from this message to encourage their supporters to refrain from such negative behavior.
In the spirit of fostering a united and prosperous community, we kindly request the authors and beneficiaries of this malicious broadcast message to consider offering an apology. By doing so, we can collectively work towards resolving any misunderstandings or conflicts that may have led to the dissemination of this content.
We need to remember that retaliation in the form of counter-broadcasts can only escalate the situation further, potentially causing more harm to our local government and political space. We encourage open dialogue, understanding, and constructive communication as a means of addressing any concerns or grievances.

Once again, we advise the author of such publication to retract, as well as the beneficiary to call his foot soldiers to order and direct them to apologize, as a counter broadcast in reaction to the post could be directed at them and take them deeper into the gutter.
