Egbeda LG Partners NGO, Empower 200 Primary Schools Pupils With Educational Materials
In a bid to contribute to the delivery of quality education in the state, the Egbeda Local Government Area, under the watch of Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, partnered with Red a non-governmental organization Platinum-Breed Brothers Charity, to donate educational materials to all the primary school pupils in the Council.
The Executive Chairman, Sanda, who is also the ALGON Chairman of Oyo State, presided over the distribution of the educational materials to two hundred indigenous pupils of four primary schools across the council area.
The Schott that benefitted from the gesture included St. Paul Primary School, Egbeda, N.U. D Primary School, Baale, Islamic Primary School, Idi,-Omo and Baptist Mission Primary School, Awaye respectively.
Explaining the essence of the benevolence, Hon Sanda appreciated the humane gesture of Platinum-Breed Brothers Charity, saying their mission is in tandem with the consistent Clarion call of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE.
Sanda noted that the collaboration of private organizations with the government to provide quality education for our promising children in the state is commendable as the government cannot bear the onerous burden of managing education alone.
He added that the move was to emulate the state governor, who has been demonstrating philanthropy in the education sector, which is one of his cardiprogrammesamme embedded in Omituntun 1.0 and Omituntun 2.0 respectively.
Earlier in his keynote address, the president of the NGO said their investment in the education sector is to give back to society out of the abundance of God’s endowments in their lives.
He added that giving succor to the pupils and their parents is a worthwhile philanthropy the government will cherish for a long time to come.
He equally encouraged philanthropists in our society to continue to lever on the service to humanity as givers never lack.
The educational materials donated were customized uniforms, exercise bags, books, and sandals.
