Egbeda LG Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, Commissions Reconstructed Maku Police Station, Distributes Motorbikes to Security Agencies, Commends Makinde’s Leadership

Egbeda Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, has commissioned the reconstructed Maku Police Station Area Command, Egbeda, Ibadan. Hon Sanda, while speaking at the commissioning ceremony, said his administration committed millions of naira to aid the reconstruction of the edifice to the standard of Area Command Office.

The Council boss reassured the people residing in Olootu, Ebenezeri, Amosun, Maku communities that they can now sleep with their two eyes closed stating that the Area Command will pave the way for the creation of more Divisional Police Stations.

He commended Governor Seyi Makinde for empowering local government chairmen to embark on projects that have direct impacts on the lives of residents of their various councils.

Hon Sanda appreciated the support from the Vice-Chairman, Hon Oladebo Simple, other cabinet members and stakeholders, especially the community leaders who contributed to the success of the project.

 

In addition to commissioning the reconstructed police station, Hon. Sikiru Sanda also distributed 8 new motorbikes to each of the various security agencies, such as Federal Safety Corp, Amotekun, Police, and others.

The motorbikes are expected to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the security agencies in maintaining law and order, and responding to emergencies within the local government area.
