DON Blue House Shines as Pink Claims Top Spot at Salvation Army Inter-House Sports
The spirit of sportsmanship and youth development took centre stage at the much-anticipated Salvation Army Inter-House Sports Competition, where Team DON Blue House proudly secured second position in a colourful and highly competitive outing.

The DON Blue House, representing the Federal Lawmaker for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (popularly known as DON), demonstrated resilience, teamwork and excellence across various sporting events. Though Pink House clinched the overall first position and Yellow House finished third, the DON Blue House stood out for its discipline, coordination and outstanding performance throughout the competition.
Representing the federal lawmaker at the event, Hon. Charles Nnamdi Odih, Special Assistant on Sports Development, commended the students for their dedication and competitive spirit. In his brief address, he congratulated all participating houses and emphasized that Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle remains deeply committed to youth empowerment and sports development.

According to him, the lawmaker believes that sports serve as a vital tool for character building, leadership development and community unity among young people. He assured the students that initiatives aimed at promoting grassroots sports and creating more opportunities for youths in Ibadan North would continue to receive strong support.

The event also attracted notable dignitaries, including the Lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 1, Hon. Olufunke Comforter; Hon. Enibe Emeka Obaloluwa, Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization; and Hon. Ojo Akinbami David, Special Assistant on Special Duties, who all applauded the organisers for a successful and impactful competition.

The atmosphere was filled with cheers from students, teachers and supporters as athletes displayed their talents in track and field events, reinforcing the importance of unity, healthy competition and youth engagement within the constituency.

The competition not only celebrated athletic excellence but also strengthened the bond between leadership and the younger generation in Ibadan North, leaving participants inspired and motivated for greater achievements ahead.
