The suspended Afijio local government vice chairman, Hon. Mrs. Oyebamiji Oluwatoyin Abiona has been accused of parading herself as a government official in public functions after being asked to step aside indefinitely.
Abiona was suspended by her local government legislative arms under the House leadership of Ajao Amos Oladipupo in the first week of September 2023.
Findings by this news medium have it that the Oyo State House of Assembly had also commenced an investigation on all allegations leveled against her by the council legislation, having her suspension valid until the investigations are concluded.
The female political head was accused of misappropriation, attempt to murder, and misuse of power attempted murder of most political heads in the local government, and breach of community peace that warranted civil unrest in the local government among others
In a leaked document available to bowamedia.com, Oyebamiji Oluwatoyin Abiona after her indefinite suspension, attended a seminar organized for chairmen, political heads, and Secretaries of local government in Oyo state.
She was said to have attended the program and registered as a participant representing the office she was allegedly accused of misuse despite her indefinite suspension from council-related activities and without any prior notice or approval from the council.
