Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Rivers Chapter, Mrs. Celine Okoroma-Vincent, on Friday, encouraged law students to explore the opportunities offered by the professional body.

She equally urged them to consider the benefits of ICSAN membership as they embark on their professional journeys.

Speaking at the sensitization event, which was held at the Nigerian Law School in Port Harcourt, and entitled: ‘Promoting ICSAN Membership and Opportunities’ the Chairman expressed delight at the warm and cheerful reception the ICSAN team received from the Nigerian Law School Port Harcourt students.

She also noted that the visit to the Nigerian Law School, Port Harcourt, and the interactive session marked a significant step in ICSAN’s mission to promote best practices and good governance by enlightening future legal professionals about the advantages of joining the ICSAN community.

In her words: “This meeting will be an informative session aimed to raise awareness about the benefits and opportunities that come with ICSAN membership and certification. No other professional body in the business area offers the breadth of knowledge that the ICSAN qualifying scheme provides”

During the engaging session, an ICSAN Rivers Chapter Exco member Mrs. Ibiene Mbano interacted with the law students, shedding light on the significance of ICSAN certification in the legal and corporate sectors.

Discussions, revolved around the value of becoming a certified member of ICSAN, with an emphasis on the enhanced career prospects, networking opportunities, and professional development that membership offers.

The Executive Committee (Exco) and key members of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) Rivers Chapter were also present at the significant engagement aimed at strengthening ties and promoting professional growth.

 

Deputy Director General of Nigerian Law School, Port Harcourt campus; Prof. C.U. Mmuozoba Esq, who welcomed the Excos and key members of ICSAN Rivers Chapter, expressed enthusiasm about the importance of such professional paths like ICSAN which, according to him, “would benefit students and professionals alike.”
