Renowned philanthropist and Omituntun Benedict Foundation founder, Chief Benedict Akika, made his first public appearance after his abduction, expressing gratitude to key figures for their support.
At the Omituntun Benedict Forum meeting in Akinyele/Lagelu local governments, Chief Akika thanked Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, political appointees, security agencies, and media outlets.
“For your unwavering support, prayers, and efforts in securing my release,” Chief Akika said, describing his ordeal as “challenging.” He praised the swift response of security agencies and well-wishers.
Chief Akika also appreciated his wife, Chief (Mrs) Bidemi Akika, and extended gratitude to various organizations, community leaders, and the People’s Democratic Party members in Oyo State.
“Your generosity helped secure my safe release and brought comfort to my family. Your kindness will never be forgotten,” Chief Akika said.
