CDCRC Honours Ibadan North-East Chairman, HLGA with Awards of Excellen
The Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo aka (O mu Yes) and the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Mrs. Omolara Aremu, were celebrated today as the Civil Defence Community Relations Committee (CDCRC), Ibadan North-East Division, conferred on them Awards of Excellence in recognition of their outstanding contributions to security, governance, and community development.
In a release signed by the Council’s Information Officer, Ikeoye Oyetoro, the awards were presented during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected CDCRC Executives held at the Iwo-Road Division, Ibadan.
Hon. Akintayo was honoured for his selfless leadership and continuous support for security initiatives across the Ibadan North-East Local Government Area and received the “Role Model” Award, while Mrs. Aremu received her award in recognition of her professionalism and effective administrative leadership and was conferred with the “Industrious and Highly Intelligent” Award.
Represented by the Leader of the House, Ibadan North-East Legislative Assembly, Hon. AbdulMojeed Igbalajobi, Hon. Akintayo congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and charged them to demonstrate commitment and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
He further assured the committee of the local government’s unalloyed support and cooperation toward the protection of lives and property.
In her response, Mrs. Omolara Aremu expressed appreciation to the CDCRC for the honour, describing the award as a motivation to deepen efficiency and professionalism in service delivery.
She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the implementation of government policies, strengthening administrative coordination, and ensuring effective service delivery in the local government.
The Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC), Olusegun Oluwole, who represented the Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCSC), Commandant Augustine Padonu, commended the remarkable strides recorded by the Akintayo-led administration, particularly in the area of security and community engagement.
The event attracted the presence of associations of traders and artisans, community leaders, opinion leaders, and traditional rulers, who collectively expressed their endorsement of the administration’s developmental initiatives. A goodwill message was delivered on behalf of the Baale of Koloko Area, Chief Philip Ojo, applauding the leadership for promoting peace and progress in the community.
Also in attendance were the Councillor representing Ward 8, Hon. Hammed Sulaimon Bayonle; the Internal Auditor, Mr. Emmanuel Adeniran; the NULGE Chairman, Comrade Adekunle Adeyemo; the Head, Information Unit, Miss Ikeoye Oyetoro; as well as other well-wishers and stakeholders from the local government.
