CCII Names Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) ‘Icon of Ibadan Heritage’ Ahead of 2026 Cultural Festival

Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, has been named ICON of IBADAN HERITAGE by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), under the auspices of the Ibadan Cultural Festival 2026.

The prestigious honour, scheduled to be officially conferred on December 13, 2025, recognises his outstanding service to humanity and his impactful contributions to the growth and development of Ibadan land.

Reacting to the announcement through his Special Assistant on Media, Segun Akinlabi, Dr. Oladimeji expressed heartfelt appreciation to CCII for the recognition. He described the award as a remarkable motivation to continue serving humanity, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting the values that define Ibadan.

He further thanked the leadership and members of CCII for acknowledging his efforts, assuring that he remains committed to humanitarian development, empowerment initiatives, and meaningful community advancement.
