Campaign Flag-Off: Akintayo Expresses Gratitude To Party Leaders, Members, Ib’ Northeast Residents For Support

Ibadan Northeast local government People’s Democratic Party Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has acknowledged the support rendered by groups, leaders, stakeholders, and residents towards the success of his election campaign flag-off.

Akintayo was joined by PDP leaders, stakeholders, and party faithful at the popular Basorun Market on Saturday morning to flag off his re-election campaign.
In a released statement issued after the ceremony, the Ibadan Northeast local government chairman, who is seeking re-election, expressed gratitude to all present political groups, party leaders, members, and residents for their renewed solidarity and overwhelming support given to him during his re-election campaign flag-off.

He similarly vowed to reciprocate by working harder, more than ever before, in ensuring more prudent management of resources.

He said: “I wish to thank all my leaders and party faithful including all groups, most especially the people of Ibadan North east local government for their renewed and overwhelming support for me and all our councillorship candidates during the flag-off yesterday. It was indeed a memorable one.

“Indeed, it is heartwarming to note the faith, confidence, and hope my people have renewed in me and PDP for a more prosperous tomorrow for Ibadan Northeast local government.

“I therefore state, in the strongest possible terms, that I will not let anyone down. The show of love and support everyone gave at the campaign ground yesterday will surely bring more of my best in the next administration.

“I promise that I will reciprocate by making huge sacrifices and working harder, more than ever before to give our people the best of what they want in Ibadan North local government.”

While restating his appreciation to the people for their support, the chairmanship candidate said he is always guided by the yearnings and aspirations of the people and urged PDP leaders, and local government residents to continue in their solidarity with him.

Present at the flag-off event were lawmakers representing Ibadan Northeast constituency I and II Hon. Abiodun Babalola, and Hon. Sola Owolabi respectively; Personal Assistant to the Executive Governor, Alhaji Akeem Azeez; former Special Assistant to the Governor, Chief Mrs. Funmi Arulogun; Hon. Gbenga Adewusi; Alhaji Akeem Oladeji, Engr Akin Akinleye (Lord Engine); Raheem Baale; Governor’s ally, Agbaakin Benedict Akika; Oyo South Senatorial Women leader, Iyalaya; Special Assistant on Political Matters to Oyo Assembly Speaker, Remi Yusuff; NUT Chairman; Iyaloja and Babaloja of the Council area, and local government councilors.

Others are PMS members in the council including Atere, Alapake, Elewure, and other religious leaders.
