BREAKING: Makinde’s DCoS, Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN) Declares Intention to Contest Ibadan North Federal Constituency Bye-Election
Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DoN, has officially declared his intention to contest in the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.

This declaration was made public in a press release personally signed by Hon. Oyekunle and made available to journalists by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Bodija Akinwale.

In the statement, Hon. Oyekunle described his decision as a response to the clarion call of his political leaders, the passionate appeal of the constituents, and the encouragement of key stakeholders who have remained instrumental to his political journey.

“After wide consultations and deep reflection, I have come to the firm decision to offer myself for service by joining the race for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat. This is not an ambition driven by self-interest, but by the call of my leaders, the yearnings of my people, and the urging of respected stakeholders across the constituency.”
“I believe that the time has come to deepen my commitment to public service and bring my experience, capacity, and grassroots connection to bear at the national level. I am stepping forward with a sense of responsibility, ready to serve and to be a true voice for the people of Ibadan North.”

He further expressed his profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whom he described as a pillar and source of motivation in his political path.
Hon. Oyekunle reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to inclusive representation, grassroots empowerment, and the continued development of Ibadan North.

“My aspiration is built on the foundation of responsive leadership, community engagement, and impactful representation. I am committed to championing the interests of my people, amplifying their voices, and ensuring that Ibadan North gets the quality representation it deserves in the National Assembly.”
