BREAKING: INEC Presents Certificate of Return to Oyo PDP Federal Lawmaker, Oyekunle, After Electoral Victory

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday presented the Certificate of Return to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DoN, following his victory in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.

Oyekunle, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 18,404 votes to defeat his closest rival, Hon. Adewale Olatunji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 8,312 votes.

The bye-election was conducted to fill the seat left vacant by the death of the former lawmaker, Hon. Olaide Akinremi.

The presentation ceremony took place at INEC headquarters in Abuja in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
