Boye Nation Concert Rescheduled to Sept 21 in Ibadan, Set to Host Makinde, 20+ Stars and Mass APC Defection
Organisers of the much-anticipated Boye Nation Concert have announced September 21 as the new date for the political and entertainment event scheduled to hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The organisers said the event will feature more than 20 prominent musicians across different genres, while also providing a platform for political mobilisation and engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the organising committee, the date was adjusted to accommodate a major political gathering and allow for improved logistics, wider participation and greater turnout.
A major highlight of the event, according to the organisers, will be the formal reception of members and supporters of the Boye Nation movement into the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The group is led by Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, an aide to former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
The development was disclosed during a media rally held on Sunday at the Jericho campaign office of the APM governorship candidate in Oyo State, Mr. Bimbo Adekanbi.
Speaking at the gathering, the Oyo State Chairman of the APM, Otunba Fagbemi Adegbenro, welcomed members of the Boye Nation group and expressed optimism that the party would promote an inclusive political structure with greater opportunities for young people across the state.
Adegbenro also called on support groups, party members and the electorate to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections, urging them to work collectively towards the success of the party in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
Other members of the organising committee who addressed the media included the Oyo State APM Publicity Secretary, Michael Ogunsina; sports presenter, Babatunde Saheed, popularly known as Mr Sports; Ademola Adeeyo; Alhaji Oyewole Raji; and Damola Omiyale.
The organisers described the concert as an important platform for strengthening collaboration among political stakeholders and support groups while boosting the mobilisation efforts of APM candidates in the state.
They further disclosed that Governor Seyi Makinde is expected to attend the event, where he is expected to receive the Boye Nation group into the APM family.
The organising committee said the adjustment of the date was aimed at creating what it described as a world-class experience and ensuring adequate coordination of the political and entertainment components of the programme.
They added that the collaboration involving Ajiboye Sangogade, the Boye Nation movement, and Otunba Seye Famojuro was geared towards strengthening the party’s mobilisation structure and supporting its political objectives in Oyo State and beyond.
The organisers also called on media practitioners, journalists and bloggers to provide adequate coverage of the event before, during and after the concert, stressing that effective media engagement remains essential to communicating the activities and programmes of the party to the public.
The September 21 event is expected to combine entertainment with political mobilisation as the APM continues to expand its engagement with support groups and political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.
