Bodija Market Inferno: Makinde Visits Scene, Donates N25 Million To Victims• Promised To Fix The Market’s Inner Road.

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, expressed sympathy on Wednesday for the traders who lost their possessions in the fire that destroyed the plank market in the Bodija neighborhood of Ibadan yesterday.

The governor announced that his administration will immediately release the sum of N25 million to mitigate the consequences of the blaze. He was joined by several senior government officials as they inspected the catastrophe site and evaluated the extent of the damage.

He stated that the impacted victims will receive immediate relief from palliative.

The governor also let the affected vendors know that the Bodija Market’s inner roads would be repaired by the Ibadan North Local Government Council.
