The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Soludero and Yeye Soludero, respectively.

The chieftaincy titles were conferred on the Governor and the First Lady by the Ibarapa Traditional Council at the palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adeagbola.

 

In a congratulatory statement, Hon. Olufade described the conferment as a well-deserved and prestigious honour, saying it reflects the high esteem in which Governor Makinde and his wife are held by the traditional institution and people of Ibarapa Land.

The Ibadan North Local Government Chairman said the recognition was particularly significant because traditional titles of this nature represent the confidence, acceptance and goodwill of the people towards individuals who have demonstrated commitment to their development and wellbeing.

According to him, the conferment of the Aare Soludero title on Governor Makinde and the Yeye Soludero title on Her Excellency, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, is a befitting recognition of the couple’s contributions to the growth and development of Oyo State.

 

Hon. Olufade commended the Ibarapa Traditional Council for the honour bestowed on the Governor and his wife, while also paying tribute to the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adeagbola, for his leadership and commitment to the preservation of the rich cultural heritage and traditional values of Ibarapa Land.

 

He noted that the institution of traditional leadership remains an important pillar of peace, unity, cultural preservation and community development, stressing that the recognition of Governor Makinde and his wife further strengthens the bond between the government, traditional institutions and the people of Ibarapa.

 

Olufade particularly commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural development, economic growth and the overall wellbeing of residents across the state.

He prayed for continued wisdom, good health, strength and divine guidance for Governor Makinde and his wife as they continue to serve humanity and contribute to the development of the state and the nation.

 

He urged the people of Oyo State to continue to support and pray for the governor, stressing that the honour bestowed on him and his wife should be seen as a celebration of leadership, service and the enduring relationship between the Makinde family and the traditional institutions of Ibarapa Land.
