According to reports, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is preparing for an urgent meeting to discuss the federal government’s eight-month salary arrears withholding from its members.
ASUU to Hold Urgent Meeting Regarding Unpaid Salaries
Osodeke claimed that the union’s National Executive Council had not yet settled on a date for the meeting.
He said that the talks between the academics and the Federal Government had stalled and that their legal dispute would resume in February.
“We are acting in the best interests of the nation, but this cannot last forever.
We will undoubtedly get together soon and decide properly at that time, he continued.
