ALGON: Sikiru Sanda Elected Unopposed as Oyo ALGON Chairman, Ibrahim Àkintayo Named Public Relations Officer

The Oyo State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has announced its new executives, with Honorable Sikiru Sanda emerging as the Chairman and Honorable Ibrahim Àkintayo as the Public Relations Officer.

According to a statement by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Otunba Ademola Ojo, Hon. Sanda, the second-term Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, was elected unopposed as the ALGON Chairman.

The new executives include:

– Hon. Sikiru Sanda (Egbeda Local Government) – Chairman
– Hon. Olayanju Kazeem (Olorunsogo Local Government) – Vice-Chairman
– Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi (Ogbomoso South) – Secretary
– Hon. Salami Akeem (Oyo West Local Government) – Chairman, Tenders Board
– Hon. Lawal Lateef (Ibarapa North Local Government) – Financial Secretary
– Hon. Fadiran Rasaq (Iseyin Local Government) – Treasurer
– Hon. Ibrahim Àkintayo (Ibadan North-East Local Government Council) – Public Relations Officer

The new executives are expected to lead the Oyo State Chapter of ALGON in promoting the interests of local governments in the state.
