Akintayo Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Security in Ibadan North-Eas

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has restated his administration’s firm commitment to strengthening security across the council area through continuous collaboration with relevant stakeholders and security agencies.

Hon. Akintayo gave the assurance on Monday while receiving the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, CC Augustine Padonu, who paid a courtesy visit to the council secretariat at Iwo Road, Ibadan.

The council boss emphasized the importance of synergy among security agencies, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders, noting that effective coordination remains key to sustaining peace and protecting lives and property within the local government.

In his remarks, CC Augustine Padonu commended Hon. Akintayo for his outstanding cooperation with security agencies operating within the local government, describing the peaceful atmosphere in Ibadan North-East as a reflection of the Chairman’s proactive leadership and support.

Padonu, who has been on a working tour of NSCDC formations across Oyo State, charged officers and men of the Corps to remain professional, diligent, and cooperative with sister security agencies to enhance public safety across the state.

The event also featured a security stakeholders’ meeting, where representatives from various agencies deliberated on new strategies to further strengthen security operations within the area.

Among those present were ACP Salisu Tafida of the Nigeria Police (Agodi Area Command), ACC Oluwole Olusegun of the NSCDC (Area G Command), officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), traditional rulers, and community leaders.

In their goodwill messages, participants commended Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo for his consistent support toy security agencies, describing his efforts as a valuable complement to the security initiatives of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.
