Akintayo Hails Makinde for Commissioning of Iwo Road Bus Terminal, Describes Project as Monumental Stride in Urban Renewal

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as O MU YES, has commended His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, for the completion and commissioning of the state-of-the-art Iwo Road Bus Terminal — one of the four modern terminals initiated under the governor’s visionary transport reform agenda.

Speaking with newsmen, Hon. Akintayo described the project as a monumental stride in urban renewal and transportation modernization, positioning Ibadan among Nigeria’s most progressive cities. He noted that the Iwo Road Bus Terminal will not only decongest the city’s traffic flow but also enhance economic activities and improve the overall commuting experience for residents.

According to him, “Governor Makinde’s foresight and commitment to infrastructural development have once again manifested through this iconic project. The Iwo Road Bus Terminal reflects the governor’s passion for people-centered governance and his determination to redefine Ibadan’s landscape.”

 

Hon. Akintayo further emphasized that the project will boost business operations, create employment opportunities, and serve as a model for sustainable urban transport systems in the region. He lauded the governor’s consistent drive towards delivering impactful projects that promote efficiency, safety, and convenience for the citizens of Oyo State.

He concluded by assuring the governor of his continuous support and partnership in ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every resident of Ibadan North East Local Government and beyond.
