Akintayo Hails Arapaja’s Endorsement, Commends Makinde’s Leadership in Strengthening South-West PDP
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as “O Mu Yes”, has felicitated Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his endorsement as the South-West consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a congratulatory message issued in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital , Hon. Akintayo described Ambassador Arapaja as a quintessential leader, a loyal party man, and a statesman whose political journey has been marked by dedication, humility, and service to the people.
The Council Boss commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his strategic leadership and commitment to fostering unity within the PDP, noting that the endorsement of Arapaja represents a well-considered decision that will further strengthen the South-West’s influence in the party’s national structure.

According to “O Mu Yes”, “Ambassador Arapaja is a man of proven integrity, a team player, and a bridge-builder whose contributions to the growth of our great party are immeasurable. His endorsement is a recognition of competence, loyalty, and years of selfless service to both the PDP and the nation.”
Hon. Akintayo expressed confidence that Arapaja’s wealth of administrative and diplomatic experience—as a former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Jordan—will add immense value to the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC).

He added that the development is not just a personal victory for Ambassador Arapaja but a collective success for the entire South-West PDP family, symbolizing unity, progress, and renewed strength ahead of future political engagements.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Ibadan North East Local Government, I extend my warmest congratulations to Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja. We are proud of his achievements and confident that his tenure will further unite and reposition our great party for greater exploits,” O Mu Yes concluded.
