Adeyi Explosion: Makinde’s Deputy Chief Of Staff, Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), Sympathizes With Victims, Commends Govt Agencies Swift Response
The Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), has expressed sympathy towards the avoidable explosion in Adeyi, Bodija Estate, Ibadan, which resulted in the loss of lives and several injured.
DON, in a statement released to journalists in Ibadan, described the tragedy as unfortunate and conveyed his deep sadness.
He stated, “I am deeply saddened by this unfortunate and unpleasant accident. I share in the moment of grief, may God Almighty comfort us all, a speedy recovery to the injured, and grant the departed souls’ peace.”
I appreciate the swift response from the government and non-governmental agencies who have been on the ground since the unfortunate incident
He urged the residents of the state to be most alert of suspicious individuals or groups, who they feel are not in the same sanity as the environment, and be quick to report them to the authorities to avoid future reoccurrence.
DON explained that the state government has swung into action towards bringing the culprits to book and made temporary provisions for the affected families.
The tragic incident occurred recently in Ibadan the Oyo state capital, where an explosive that was kept within a residential estate exploded, causing the death of two persons and many injuries.
