“A Straight-Forward Leader with His People at Heart, He Will Be Greatly Missed”~ Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle on the Demise of Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadan

The Federal Lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadan, Alhaji Ali Dahiru Zungeru.

In a statement, Oyekunle condoled with the family of the late monarch, the Hausa community, and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde. He described the loss as “a great void in the leadership of Ibadan’s Hausa community.”

Hon. Oyekunle further noted that Alhaji Zungeru was a straight-forward leader who always prioritized the welfare of his people. Reflecting on his relationship with the late monarch, he said, “even in the short time I knew him, his integrity and dedication were clear, and he will be profoundly missed.”
