IYD: Unlocking Youth Potential: Oyo Deputy Chief of Staff, Oyekunle Leads Interactive Session
The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), honored an invitation by the Ibadan North Local Government to participate in an interactive session with the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, to celebrate International Youth Day. The event, held at the Chairman’s office in the Ibadan North Council Secretariat, brought together youth stakeholders from various works.
During the interactive session, the Deputy Chief of Staff fielded questions on governance, youth involvement in politics, his journey into politics, and his career as a businessman. He emphasized the importance of youth empowerment and encouraged the attendees to take advantage of their resources to become positive change-makers in society.
“Youths are the backbone of our nation, and it’s essential they’re equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel,” he said. “I urge you all to tap into your potential, be innovative, and strive to make a positive impact in your communities.”
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, commended the Deputy Chief of Staff for his commitment to youth development and his willingness to share his experiences with the younger generation.
“This interactive session is a testament to our administration’s dedication to youth empowerment and inclusive governance,” Olufade said. “We’re committed to providing opportunities for our youths to grow and contribute meaningfully to the development of Oyo State.”
The event was attended by various youth groups, community leaders, and stakeholders, who praised the initiative and called for more collaborative efforts to address youth-related issues in the state.
