Ibadan North East LG Chair, Akintayo, felicitates Ladoja On Elevation To A Beaded-Crown Wearing Monarch
…Says ‘His Reign ‘ll Be Peaceful’
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East local government area of Oyo State, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, on Monday, congratulated the former Governor of the state and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on his elevation to a beaded-crown-wearing Oba in line with the amended Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration.
Akintayo, in a statement personally signed, equally thanked the Governor of the state for his efforts at ensuring that the controversies surrounding the issue of beaded-crown in the traditional system come to a stop.
He also appreciated the efforts of President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes CCII, the Aare Musulumi of Oyo, Edo and Delta and other stakeholders for their efforts towards the sustained unity, peace and harmony, which birthed the new development.
The Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, presented the Staff of Office and the Certificate to Oba (Senator) Rashidi Ladoja, and congratulated him on the acceptance of the beaded crown
Speaking further in the statement, Akintayo, while hoping that the reign of Oba Ladoja would usher in peace in Ibadanland, he urged the Otun Olubadan to continue to prioritise efforts that will enhance the status of the royal system in the state.
Akintayo, while concluding that the event marked an important milestone in the traditional leadership structure of Ibadanland, he stated that the coronation would bring renewed strength and usher in peace among the members of the Olubadan-in-Council.
