He Sacked A Dutiful Staff, Active Party Member – Ido PDP LG Chairman, Ayuba Reacts To Adeojo CoS Dismissal
Reactions as followed the immediate dismissal of Mr. Mustapha Adeyanju, the Chief of Staff to Hon. Sheriff, the executive chairman of Ido local government.
A statement, made by the council chairman at a stakeholder’s meeting, explains that the sacking of his chief of staff became necessary due to incompetence and lack of total commitment to his duties as a senior aide to his office.
However, our correspondent pulled a call through to Alhaji Akinsola Oabamiji Ayuba the PDP party Chairman of Ido Local Government on the recent development.
According to Alhaji Akinsola, he disclosed that the decision was docile to all the political stakeholders in Ido local government, and it came as a shock to everyone as the said sacked chief of staff was actively involved in the re-election process of governor Seyi Makinde’s victory and that of the state assembly member, why should such a decision be made now if there wasn’t an interior motive or bad blood”
When asked if the sacked chief of staff has not been up to his duties as earlier accused by the chairman, Alhaji Akinsola said “The allegation was false, Sheriff Adeojo will just make decisions without informing or seeking the opinion of political stakeholders, he made such a decision on personal grounds as the said chief of staff has been a major workforce in the council’s affairs.
In a brief chat with Hon. Rasaq Adekunle Mabaje the member representing Ido Constituency said he was shocked to see on the news that sheriff had sacked the chief of staff, he said” I’m just hearing for the first time after reading about the event, It came as a surprise to me, I have been involved in my post-election activities, as you know, today we will be receiving our certificate of return, I’m yet to hear from the chairman nor the sacked chief of staff himself on the matter, but I will as soon as I can.
