Today marked a significant milestone for the Ibadan North Local Government as Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, the Executive Chairman, commissioned a new shopping complex in a ceremony held amidst members of the traditional council and local government staff.
The commissioning, which took place at Ibadan North council was dedicated in honor of Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, Osi Balogun of Ibadan Land, Chairman of the Ibadan North Local Government Traditional Council.
In his remarks, Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe expressed gratitude to Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade for his humility and respect for elders since assuming office.
He commended the chairman for the positive impact he has made, noting the significance of commissioning this complex during his administration.
“I am delighted to see so many gathered here today to witness this commissioning,” said Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe.
“This project symbolizes the commitment of Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade to meaningful development within our community, and I pray for his continued success throughout his tenure.”
Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, in his speech, thanked God for the opportunity to perform first commissioning exercise as the executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.
He emphasized the uniqueness of dedicating this complex to the memory of a highly esteemed traditional ruler.
“This commissioning marks the beginning of many more impactful projects under my leadership,” he affirmed.
The event was attended by members of the traditional council, including Oloye Raufu Hamsat Eleruwere, Prince Tajudeen Aminu, Mogaji Akinbami, and Retired Captain Akinola Abraham Mogaji Lapite.
Also present were Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Hamdy Mustapha, leader of the house, Hon. Adebola Taiwo, deputy leader, hon. Sulaimon Ajao moonlight, other councilors, Head of Local Government Administration Alhaji Akeem Olatunji, director of administration and general services Alhaji Alabi lukman Kolawole, director of finance, Mrs Babarimisa Y.T, Alhaja Najimdeen Qudrat, Director of Administration and General Service, and Mrs. Lala Olufunke, Head of Information, among others.
The commissioning ceremony concluded with optimistic expectations for continued progress and development under Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade’s leadership.
